Check it out...

As many of you know, Adam is going to be a BIG BROTHER come September. We decided to create a family blog in preparation. Please change your bookmarks - I've copied all of the history over and I'll update this one going forward:

Farm Babies

Our neighbor Willy came with us to meet Soren and Hanna and the MN zoo to check out the farm babies. None of the kids were too crazy about the petting zoo portion and preferred the animals behind fences or glass or the ones that weren't real at all.

Adam LOVES horses.

A truck or some nearby construction caught all of the boys attention. Adam always covers his ears for loud noises.

Ready, set, go!

Lil' Slugger

Since going to the Twins game, Adam has definitely taken more of an interest in playing baseball. He loves this pitching machine even though he rarely makes contact. I tried to tee it up for him, but of course he only wants to play like the big leaguers.

Nana's Birthday

To celebrate Nana's birthday, we met at Teddy Bear Park and then had a pizza lunch back at our place. It was a fun day!

Climbing some rocks
Adam loved going down the big slides - Aunt Amy climbed up to the top with him.

Hanna is hoping for a taste of some cake too

Target Field

Aaron and Adam were able to check out the new Twins baseball stadium with Uncle Dallas and Cousin Soren and the weather was perfect for some outdoor baseball. Adam was so excited to be wearing semi-matching shirts and hats with Aaron. Adam has talked about "guys", "hits", and "choo-choo" (they rode the light rail) since that day. Thanks Apolds for such a wonderful afternoon!

April Showers

We hooked up the hoses and turned on the water so that Aaron could do some burning. Adam helped to water everything since it has been fairly dry. Between that and the bit of rain we got, my flowers are actually starting to sprout!

Easily Amused

Adam came with me to vote today and the volunteers gave him a balloon. When we got home, I blew up the balloon and then I let go of it so all of the air would come out. I grabbed the camera after about the tenth time doing it and he still thought it was hysterical.

Easter 2010

It was a busy day! Adam woke up and found his Easter basket of goodies. We then headed to Cold Spring for Easter lunch with the Schmuckers and then off to St. Paul for Easter dinner with the Dynans. Adam decided not to nap despite our best efforts:)

Coloring Eggs

We had our neighbor Willy over to color Easter eggs with Adam. Later that night, we hid the eggs for Adam. After he would find all of the eggs, he would ask to do it again and again.

Boys will be boys

Adam could dig in the dirt or throw rocks/balls for hours.

A Helping Hand

Adam wants to help with anything and everything that we do around the house (such as painting and mopping the floor). When Aaron or I try to help him, he always replies, "No. Me."

Squeaky Clean

It's a good thing Adam enjoys baths so much because after spending so much time outdoors, he could use a good scrubbing:)
Here's a cute picture of Chase. He has started taking naps under Adam's crib.

Handprint

We received a Handprint Tower kit as a gift when Adam was born. The kit has decorative tins to take an imprint of their handprint each year until they are five. Last year Adam was only slightly cooperative and we had trouble getting him to fan out his hand. This year went much smoother and he had fun doing it. It is so fun to see how much he has grown and will be a wonderful keepsake for him.

The first of many...

We had a playdate today with my friends Katie and Liz and their girls. Hopefully it is the first of many as we all had a great time together.
Amelia, Maddie, Adam, and Madeline
Adam was so proud to hold Baby Madeline. He even covered her with his special t-shirt that he sleeps with.
